DPD Passport
4-8 days · Delivery of documents and passports
from 6€

DPD Passport is a specialized service for delivering passports, documents, and securities via the DPD (Dynamic Parcel Distribution) network, part of the Geopost/La Poste group. Designed for situations where you need to quickly and securely send originals from Ukraine to the EU: new international passports, notarized powers of attorney, diplomas, contracts, medical reports, birth or marriage certificates. The route is the same as for Classic: by road from Ukraine to the GlobalPost hub in Poland, then via the DPD ground network to any of the 28 EU countries. The difference lies in the packaging and handling. Documents are shipped in a secure envelope with enhanced tracking and mandatory recipient signature upon delivery. The main advantage is control and peace of mind. You can track every step: when the package left Ukraine, cleared customs, reached the courier in the destination country, and when the recipient signed for it. If the recipient isn’t home, they can pick it up at one of over 70,000 DPD Pickup locations, but only upon presentation of a valid ID and signature.

DPD Medicine
5-10 days · Medicine delivery
from 15€

DPD Medicine is a service for delivering medications and medical supplies via the DPD network. It is designed for personal shipments: sending medications to relatives abroad that are not available at local pharmacies, or receiving specific medications from abroad for personal use. The standard route is: Ukraine → GlobalPost hub in Poland → DPD to 28 EU countries. The key difference is that shipments are processed in accordance with customs and health regulations. Medications cannot simply be placed in a package: some require a prescription, others a declaration of contents, and prescription drugs require a separate set of documents. GlobalPost helps prepare everything correctly so that the package is not held up at customs. Important: this service is for personal use—for a relative, a friend, or yourself. For wholesale pharmaceutical logistics (manufacturer → distributor), a different product is required, one with full pharmaceutical oversight and licensing.

About DPD via GlobalPost

What you need to know before shipping

🌍 Geography

DPD operates in 28 EU countries. It is not a global carrier—DPD specializes in Europe. Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria are all major destinations. The UK is also available, even though it’s outside the EU. We ship from any city in Ukraine via GlobalPost. The hub is in Poland, and from there the package enters DPD’s ground network.

📍 Tracking

Every shipment receives a DPD tracking number. You can track it at dpd.com or in your GlobalPost account. The status is updated at every stage: pickup, sorting, transit, and delivery. If the recipient selected DPD Pickup, the tracking information will show when the package arrived at the pickup location.

⚖️ Restrictions

Maximum 30 kg per shipment. This is less than FedEx or UPS (which allow up to 70 kg), but it’s sufficient for most packages. No additional charges for weights up to 30 kg. Size restrictions are standard for ground shipping. If your shipment is heavier, consider DHL or UPS.

📋 Documents

There are no customs formalities within the EU—goods move freely. For shipments from Ukraine, the following are required: a waybill, a commercial invoice with a description of the contents, and an export declaration. DPD assists with customs clearance for countries outside the EU. GlobalPost managers will compile the necessary documents for your shipment.

What if...? We answer honestly

Real customer concerns. No marketing fluff.

"Ground delivery is slow, isn't it?"

5–10 days across Europe. Yes, it’s not 2 days. But if clothes for a store or spare parts for a warehouse can wait a week, why pay for airmail? DPD Classic is 2–3 times cheaper than DHL Express. The difference in a few days, the difference in price is tangible.

"Why is GlobalPost cheaper than direct?"

GlobalPost is a contract partner of DPD with wholesale rates. We send thousands of parcels every month and buy in volume. You get a part of this discount. The principle is the same as with airline tickets through an agency - the flight is the same, the price is lower.

"Is the tracking normal? Can I see the parcel?"

Yes. Full DPD tracking at every stage — from receipt to delivery. The number works on dpd.com and in the GlobalPost account. No worse than DHL or UPS.

"What about customs?"

There are no customs offices within the EU. Goods move freely between 28 countries. For shipments outside the EU (e.g. the UK after Brexit), DPD helps with the clearance. GlobalPost managers prepare documents for each destination.

"Is DPD a reliable carrier at all?"

DPD is part of Geopost, the logistics division of the French La Poste Group. The second largest ground parcel carrier in Europe. 70,000+ delivery points. This is not a startup - it is state-level infrastructure, only faster and with tracking.

"And heavy parcels up to 30 kg - no surcharge?"

Yes. DPD does not calculate the price per kilogram, like DHL or FedEx. The price depends on the zone (country of destination), not on the weight. 5 kg or 28 kg - the tariff is the same, if you fit into the 30 kg limit. For heavy parcels in Europe, this is the most profitable option.

Why DPD delivery is popular in Europe

DPD (Dynamic Parcel Distribution) is part of the Geopost group, owned by La Poste Group. It is a ground-based parcel network built for Europe: 28 EU countries, over 70,000 DPD Pickup points, delivery from door to door or to the nearest pickup location. DPD's primary focus is intra-European shipments. Unlike air-based courier operators, DPD relies on ground transportation, which results in noticeably lower prices. For shipments from Ukraine to the EU, this is one of the most cost-effective options available.

DPD delivery operates on a single tariff — DPD Classic. Ground shipping with predictable transit times of 5–10 business days (including the Ukraine–Poland leg). Maximum weight per piece — 30 kg, no surcharges within this limit. Shipments within the EU move without customs clearance: once the parcel leaves Ukraine, it travels through the European Union as a domestic shipment.

Types of shipments available through DPD

Through DPD’s delivery service, you can send parcels weighing up to 30 kg. These can include marketplace goods, product samples, spare parts, personal belongings, and gifts. Documents go in an envelope without customs clearance — same as with other carriers. Business correspondence occupies a separate category: envelopes, contracts, notarized copies.

What DPD does not accept: shipments over 30 kg, pallets, non-standard dimensions. For those, other carriers would be suitable — you can calculate the cost using the calculator on the GlobalPost website. Insurance is an option, arranged upon request when placing an order.

DPD delivery geography: key destinations

DPD delivery covers 28 EU countries. Poland, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain — these are the main routes that account for the majority of orders. The distance between the Ukrainian hub and the European recipient determines the transit time: nearest countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia) — 5–7 days, distant ones (Spain, Portugal) — up to 10 business days.

In the reverse direction — DPD delivery to Ukraine — works as follows: a request is placed on the GlobalPost website or via messenger, the sender in Europe hands over the parcel through DPD Pickup or calls a courier. After crossing the border, the parcel is delivered to any city in Ukraine.

DPD logistics specifics and delivery times

DPD delivery is ground logistics. Parcels travel by road through DPD’s network of sorting centres. From Ukraine, the shipment first goes to Poland (the first leg), then enters the intra-European DPD network. Within the EU there is no customs — the parcel moves freely. Tracking is available on the website DPD using the tracking number assigned to each shipment.

In short, DPD delivery is an economical ground service for parcels up to 30 kg across Europe. No express, no air freight — and therefore cheaper. DPD Classic suits those willing to wait 5–10 days for a favourable rate. For comparison: a similar parcel via an air courier (such as UPS) would cost 2–3 times more.

DPD freight delivery is a query often associated with large shipments. However, DPD specializes in parcels up to 30 kg. For heavy freight, GlobalPost will offer other options — with pallet loading and individual pricing.

Benefits of working with GlobalPost for DPD shipments

GlobalPost is a logistics company aggregator, on the market since 2011. Rated 4.8 on Google Maps. A direct contract with DPD gives clients wholesale pricing — without opening an account with the carrier and without a mandatory shipment volume. DPD international delivery through GlobalPost is calculated in the website calculator: enter the country, weight — see the final cost.

What working through us provides:

  1. a live manager available via messengers and email,
  2. free pickup: in Kyiv — by courier, from other regions — via Nova Poshta at GlobalPost’s expense,
  3. an online calculator for instant quotes,
  4. payment by card or bank transfer.

DPD delivery through GlobalPost means access to the European ground network at a wholesale rate, with full support: from order to delivery.

DPD Ukraine is a query from those looking for an economical way to send a parcel to Europe. Placing a request on Globalpost takes a couple of minutes. For regular shippers — a contract with fixed rates.

FAQs About DPD

Short and to the point

How is GlobalPost different from DPD Ukraine?

GlobalPost works with DPD under a contract in Poland. Base rates are lower than DPD Ukraine’s direct prices. Shipments enter the same DPD network with the same tracking and delivery times. Custom terms are available for regular shippers.

How do I ship a package via DPD?

On the GlobalPost website, select DPD as the carrier, enter the shipment details, and specify the destination country. The process takes 3 minutes. You can do this via the website, Telegram, or by phone.

How much does DPD shipping from Ukraine cost?

Depends on the country of destination and weight (up to 30 kg). Calculator on the website will show the exact price in 30 seconds - taking into account the corporate discount. There are no surcharges for weight within 30 kg.

What are DPD's delivery times?

DPD Classic — 5–10 business days within Europe. Nearby countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia) — 5–6 days. Distant countries (Spain, Portugal) — up to 10 days. Please note that this timeframe includes shipping from Ukraine to Poland.

Does DPD deliver worldwide?

No. DPD specializes in Europe—the 28 EU countries plus the United Kingdom. It is a ground carrier that does not offer air services. If you need delivery outside of Europe, consider DHL, FedEx, or UPS through GlobalPost.

Why is DPD cheaper than DHL and UPS?

DPD is a ground carrier that does not use air transport. This reduces costs. Plus, DPD does not charge by the kilogram—the rate is fixed per zone. Whether it’s 5 kg or 28 kg, the price is the same. For packages weighing up to 30 kg within Europe, this is usually the most cost-effective option.

What is DPD Pickup?

A network of over 70,000 pickup locations across Europe. Recipients can choose the nearest pickup location instead of having their package delivered to their door. This is convenient when someone isn’t home. Pickup locations are available at stores, gas stations, and post offices.

Where can I track my DPD package?

On the GlobalPost website — enter the parcel number in the tracking field or on dpd.com — by tracking number. The status is updated at each stage of the route.

Is there a weight limit?

The maximum weight per shipment is 30 kg. This is less than what FedEx or UPS allow (up to 70 kg). If your shipment weighs more, you can split it into multiple shipments or choose a different carrier.

What documents are required?

Waybill, commercial invoice, export declaration. There is no customs clearance within the EU. For countries outside the EU, DPD assists with customs clearance. GlobalPost managers will compile the required documents.

Can I insure my package?

Yes. GlobalPost offers insurance against loss and damage. Please contact our representatives—we will select a plan based on the value of your shipment.

Is DPD suitable for e-commerce?

That's right, and it's a great option. A flat rate for shipments up to 30 kg, the DPD Pickup network for recipients, and tracking at every stage. For online stores that ship clothing, accessories, and home goods throughout Europe, DPD Classic is often cheaper than any other service.
