STEP 1. Preparing for transportation abroad

Current legislation prohibits the export of valuables belonging to
to the State Register of National Cultural Heritage, the National Archival Fund or the Museum Fund of Ukraine. For transportation of other art objects it is necessary to receive the special certificate of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

To get it, you must prepare:

application to the state body for control over export, import
documents confirming the ownership of a work of art or collection – a check or invoice, and the return of cultural property;
full list of items to be transported (if there are several);
two color photos measuring 13×18 cm (if there are more than one item – for each work);
identity documents (copy of passport or state registration certificate of the legal entity).

To get it, you must prepare:

were created after 1950;

STEP 3. Collection of documents for customs clearance

If the transportation of artistic values is legal
person, you need to prepare the following package of documents:

Extract from the Register of persons who carry out transactions with goods;
confirmation of the value of the goods (expense invoice, check, cargo calculation or letter indicating the value of all items);
a contract for foreign economic activity (or a letter if free samples of products are transported);
invoice – 4 copies in English and 1 copy in Ukrainian;
Certificate of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine that the subject does not belong to the list of historical and cultural values.

Individuals who send a parcel must submit the following documents:

the statement of the established sample;

invoice – in English (4 pcs.) and Ukrainian (1 pc.) languages;
check, bill of lading, or letter of intent to confirm value;
copy of passport or ID Card with attachment;
Certificate of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine that works of art have no historical and cultural value.
